based on a true story. the thai eggplant in the manger represents our “miracle”, commemorating a family christmas gathering in spokane, washington ,when the artist’s brother-in-law remarked that they’d have better luck finding the baby jesus than a thai eggplant in the produce section of the local grocery store. the attending angel carries an albertsons shopping bag. the wise men offer gifts of thai basil and champagne.
