in addition to “the odyssey” by Homer, elements of this illustration were inspired by author madeline miller’s amazing book “circe”.
This image was included in the wood engravers’ network (wen) “the odyssey” themed collaborative project that was organized and bound by jon hinkel of tight squeek press. seven printmakers created work for the book, which was part of the wen bundle exchange in spring 2019.
